Basically couple of days ago I needed a quick way to remove NanoFX blinkers from all HP's in my install, to do it manually is a royal pain in the ass and time consuming.

I wrote a small program which pretty much rewrites all HP's and removes Blinkers in 2 seconds. If anyone is interested in it, let me know and I'll post it here.

You don't get to experience this. Blinkers get inverted and you end up with a black screen of nothing.

I believe a partial fix for some blinker issues, not this one.

I had one:
shameless selfadvertising coming

I called it Galaxy Charts tongue

But seriously, everytime I saw someone saying about the inverted blinkers problem it was due to NanoFX, and I never saw they (and other people) complain about that problem when running GC...

I find it wierd how the inverted blinker problem only affects a small number of ships.

That leads me to think that there may be a different cause for the issue entirely.

Because it's extremely rare problem and happens under certain circumstances.

IIRC it depends on the number of blinkers a ship has and most definitely higher chances of it happening are if an AI ship with blinkers uses warp. This does not guarantee it however.

i think the program would come in handy Smiley  it is true that every so often, at bcc, there will be someone posting about a problem with blinkers...  when nano2 was released, new ships (at first) used to come out with a blinker-hp and a nonblinker-hp...  there are people out there who may not like the blinkers or have slower computers...

As promised here it is

Quote from: Readme
I won't be held responsible for any kind of damage this does to your computer\your game\HP's.

How to use: Unfortunately there isn't any kind of GUI or anything. So copy the exe to the HP's directory, that's in example: C:\Program Files\Activision\Bridge Commander\scripts\ships\Hardpoints, and run the program.

Vista\7 notes: If BC is installed in Program Files directory program MUST be run as admin.

What does it do: It removes NanoFX Blinkers from HP's faster than you ever could.
