some years back, i think it was at BCU, i asked about decreasing the time it takes between when the cloak drops to when shields raise; i guess the default is 3 seconds...  i wanted to decrease that...
when i asked about it, someone wrote up a simple small script that went into the Autostart folder (if i recall correctly)...  i dont remember who it was or where it was...
someone at BCC also just asked about this; i tried to find that script i had, but throughout time, many installs, and a new computer, it seems i lost the script Sad   i honestly forgot all about this until it was asked, but i would like to also have that for my newest installs as well...

i was wondering if anyone knew where in BC scripts the time for this is defined, or if someone knew a way to write up a simple script so that the time can be decreased?  Smiley

Code:
# Cloak time, have no idea what the original did exactly but here you go (autoload folder) - Sov

import App

# default cloak time = 5.0
fCloakTime = 1.0
# default shield delay = 1.0
fShieldDelay = 0.5

App.CloakingSubsystem_SetCloakTime(fCloakTime)
App.CloakingSubsystem_SetShieldDelay(fShieldDelay)

/gravedigger

Is it possible to define these on a ship-by ship-basis?

Really?  I honestly thought it could be applied under the technology frameworks.  Shows how much I know.  lol

You could but you'd still need to do a bit of work. Cloak values are global not local per each ship so you'd need to script in a small framework.
